Located in Padua, north-east of Italy, Favaretto&Partners, founded in 1973 from Arch. Paolo Favaretto, has fifty year history in industrial design fields, product, furniture, lighting, art direction and consulting.

Anticipating trends to exploit opportunities offered by the global market. Our multidisciplinary approach, drawn from our expert knowledge, creates development and international industrial business. Creativity is a constant throughout the entire production process. Seeking innovative solutions, focusing on product circularity and cultivating a sustainable approach to the future are what set us apart from the rest. / Product development

We select appropriate materials and techniques to produce models and prototypes which ensure the object can be seen, touched and altered as required. Rapidly effected additions, variations and improvements enable design propositions to be visualised clearly as they evolve.

/ Engineering

Carried out with and for a business, with the aim of rationalising and optimising the productive process. Product engineering and all-round assistance through to production is directed at ensuring profitable sales, reduced manufacturing and investment costs and effective sales price positioning.

/ Art Direction

Favaretto&Partners successfully carries out comprehensive consultancy services for industry. Our long international practical experience and know-how in a variety of fields, gives us the breadth of vision and expertise in transferring knowledge and techniques from one sector to another. Our specialist services include: new product planning, strategic and technical aspects of production management, technological innovation and the development of new market opportunities.

1973

Il neolaureato architetto Paolo Favaretto inizia la sua attività come Studio Favaretto.

Lo stesso anno Paolo Favaretto progetta la sedia Agorà, ancora oggi in produzione.

1980

Inizia la collaborazione con il primo cliente straniero.

1986

Paolo Favaretto riceve il premio internazionale Product Design Award dell'Institute of Business Designers USA per Powerbeam Desk, primo esempio di scrivania con trave estrusa portante e cablata.

Nei primi anni del secolo aumentano le collaborazioni nazionali e internazionali.

2009

Il designer Francesco Favaretto, dopo aver lavorato in Canada, rientra in Italia e decide di far squadra con il padre dando vita allo studio Favaretto&Partners.

Favaretto&Partners apre una partnership a Toronto e Shanghai, nominando il primo respondabile in loco.

2015

Nel corso dell'anno lo Studio viene insignito di 13 premi internazionali, che portano il totale storico a ben 79 riconoscimenti.

2018

Favaretto&Partners festeggia i 45 anni dello studio.

PAOLO FAVARETTO / FONDATORE

Paolo Favaretto è nato a Padova nel 1950 e si è laureato in Architettura all’Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, IUAV, dove ha frequentato le lezioni del professor Carlo Scarpa.
Dopo la laurea ha subito intrapreso la libera professione e nel 1973 ha fondato lo studio che porta il suo nome.
Attivo come designer e consulente per l’industria, ha collaborato con prestigiose aziende italiane ed estere, ottenendo importanti premi e riconoscimenti.

È past president della Delegazione Veneto e Trentino Alto Adige dell’ADI-Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, è stato fondatore e presidente dell’IIDD-Istituto Italiano Design Disabilità (ora DFA-Design for All) e membro del direttivo DFA EUROPA e attualmente rappresenta l’ADI al BEDA-Bureau of European Design Associations. Ha fatto inoltre parte del comitato scientifico del progetto europeo IDIA-Inclusive Design and Intelligent Technology for Accessible Workplaces.
Tiene conferenze e lezioni presso università e istituti di design internazionali, tra cui i corsi di Laurea in Disegno Industriale del Politecnico di Milano e dello IUAV di Venezia, Scuola Italiana di Design di Padova, National College of Art and Design di Dublino, Consorzio Universitario per gli Studi di Organizzazione Aziendale (CUOA) a Vicenza.
Molti dei suoi lavori sono stati pubblicati in libri di design e nelle più importanti riviste specializzate.

Nel 2007 è uscita la sua monografia “Paolo Favaretto, industrial designer” edita da Il Poligrafo, realizzata dal critico e docente Alberto Bassi.
Nel 2013 ha festeggiato quarant’anni di attività e il Comune di Padova, come tributo al suo lavoro, gli ha dedicato una mostra personale: – 40X40 Paolo Favaretto gli anni del design –
In occasione dell’evento è stata pubblicata, da Mondadori Electa, una nuova monografia dello stesso titolo della mostra, con la prefazione dello storico dell’arte e scrittore Philippe Daverio.

FRANCESCO FAVARETTO / CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Francesco Favaretto è nato nel 1983 a Padova, Italia e si è laureato in Disegno Industriale presso l’Università IUAV di Venezia nel 2006.
Francesco è il figlio dell’Arch. Paolo Favaretto, fondatore dello Studio Favaretto nel 1973. Già negli anni ’80 lo Studio è stato uno dei primi in Italia a intrattenere rapporti d’affari all’estero, collaborando con prestigiose aziende del Nord America, Europa e Asia.
Nel 2009, con l’ingresso di Francesco Favaretto lo Studio Favaretto diviene Favaretto & Partners Design Studio, e dal 2015 con il ruolo di Direttore Creativo, le attività dello Studio si sono ulteriormente ampliate e ora coprono diversi ambiti del design, dall’industrial design all’arredamento, dal tangibile al digitale.
